Homework: Monday January 27th

Tonight students will use their new skills for solving double digit multiplication to compare products between two expressions. They will first need to solve to find each product and then they will need to use the symbols < , > , = .

Click the images below if you need to download.

We started our 2 minute multiplication fact tests today. Several students passed their 2's and are onto their 3's. I suggested they create flashcards at home to practice. You can also purchase flashcards from the dollar tree or google search multiplication flashcards and several free versions are available. If you need help locating a set please let me know. I am happy to help!

I also sent home information about a site called Xtra math today. This site is a great electronic resource for fact practice!

Welcome

Welcome to our classroom website!

This will be a wonderful place to stay up-to-date with what is going on in room 12!

Please feel free to leave comments, download documents, and share pictures with family! If you have personal questions about your child be sure to email me privately.

This is going to be an amazing year filled with so many new and exciting opportunities!

First thing first...

I am your child's teacher, Mrs. Newport.

On Tuesday, November 12th, I hope that you will join me in some fun at the Gresham Library.
385 NW Miller Ave, Gresham, OR 97030 from 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

I am so excited to meet you and spend some time getting to know your child!
This week I spent some time playing a rounding game with the kids in small groups. They are already so much fun! Click here to download a copy of the rounding game to print and play at home.

When I share files with you I always try to make them "ink saving" with little to no color ink. I recommend skipping the cover page when printing.

You can also visit IXL.com for more rounding practice. If you need your login just send me an email.
